had to cancel the day centre

I have had to reluctantly with mums agreement cancel the day centre that she went to as for us it was not working out, she was finding it too much to cope with, well at 90 it was a long day she was picked up in the morning at 0845 and did not get back again until 5pm, she was the first one that was picked up in the morning and the last one off of the bus, so rather than have her suffer because of going it was best to knock it on the head now

I made this card for the staff at the day centre where mum goes 2 days a week as a thank you to them i used the elegant fans cd by joanna sheen such a versatile cd rom

lace tree embossing folder

I made this card this afternoon, I placed a piece of mirri card in the lace tree embossing folder and ran it through the cuttlebug, then i mounted the embossed image onto a piece of red card, then mounted that onto a green card

speedy and peter

my two little hooligans were groomed last night, i contacted dial a dog wash to come to the house and the results are 2 groomed dogs who don't like looking nice and clean or smelling nice but this is what that they look now peter is the one in the dog bed and speedy is the naughty one on the chair

tags for the our refuge july swap

i used the big shot to cut the tag shape and then used some penny black stamps that i had and then watercoloured in the images using lyra crayons then tied a small piece of ribbon through the hole

these are the tags i have made for the june tag swap on our refuge forum i have used the big shot to cut out the tag shapes then i used some foam shapes on the love tag . on the fun tag i used a diecut shape i had and on the sweet one i used a glitter sticker and a foam shape to finish of the tag i used ribbon threaded through the hole

just a brief apology to explain why nothing new has been added to my blog recently that is due to the fact that i have not made much due to mums health not being too good lately i hope to be able to put something on as soon as i can

hedgehog christmas

I made a mistake and stamped the hedgehog image upside down so had a think and decided to cut the original card and make a topper with it, found an A4 piece of card and folded it in half then printed off a backing paper from a joanna sheen cd rom then cut down a piece of green mirri card and then mounted the hedgehog image onto that then I found some white gems and spread them over the card to give the appearance of snow hope you like it

paper pricking and decoupage

I made this one this morning using a stencil from a kit i had and the same with the decoupage, the paper flowers i had bought before we moved and have just discovered them and to finish of i used some coloured gem stones to put in the centre of the flowers, this is my first attempt at paper pricking so was a bit doubtful about how it would look but was quite pleased for a first attempt

Anniversary Card

I made this card this morning for a friends anniversary hope she will like it

messy rabbit bookmark

i love this cd rom so thought i would make a book mark with it i put a different verse on it and the using the crop o dile big bite set an eyelet in and then put a piece of ribbon through the eyelet

I made this card this morning for a friend of mine who is feeling rather down at the moment so I hope it cheers her up a bit. I made this card using the new Joanna Sheen messy rabbit cd rom I selected a backing paper from the cd and and image then matted and layered it then printed off some embellishments and cut those out too

cuttlebug card

i made this one this morning using the perfectly paisley embossing folder onto a a pearlescent piece of card then i stamped the rose image onto some small pieces of card and coloured them in using sakura pens and then mounted them onto the card found a peel off which nearly matches the pearlescent card and then finished off with some butterfly stickers
